Staging event

When holding your first event at a new location, you should always hold a staging night. This should be done with a group of staff, friends, or volunteers of approximately the same size as the group that will attend the real event.

We'll cover exactly what activities should be included in your event in a later module, and it's these activities that you should run through at the location during the staging event. This gives you a chance to check that the activities you have planned are practical for the locations within the building and that there will likely be some paranormal activity for your guests.

Although the actual details of the event come later in this course, it's important to remember the need for a staging event during the early planning stages when you are first searching for and booking a venue for your event.
