Possession

Possession is described as a condition in which an individual, seemingly against their will, is controlled by an external force or entity, often of a malevolent nature. This control can result in changes in behaviour, voice, physical strength, and even knowledge of languages or information previously unknown to the possessed person. Once in control, the entity is able to influence or take control of a person's thoughts, emotions, and actions.

Possession is included in the postmortem survival module because it involves the interaction between living individuals and spirits or entities, which aligns with the concept of consciousness continuing beyond physical death. In cases of human spirit possession, the phenomenon suggests that the consciousness of a deceased person can influence or inhabit a living person, providing evidence for the survival of human consciousness after death.
