Rule out rational explanations

In order to investigate a location and prove the existence of the paranormal, it is always best to adopt the mindset of a skeptic and do everything you can to try to prove that the property is not haunted. Once you've eliminated every possible explanation for the activity you've witnessed, what you're left with will be evidence of the paranormal.

As a court aims to prove its case by removing all reasonable doubt, you should do the same. This is the only way your findings will be taken seriously. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle wrote, "When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth."
